We do not use your Google account data for advertising targeting, audience profiling, or any purpose beyond delivering the audit and associated reporting.
4. How We Access Your Google Accounts
This section applies only to users of the paid search audit tool.
4a. Authorization
We access your Google Ads and Google Analytics 4 accounts through Google's standard OAuth 2.0 authorization process. When you click "Connect" for each platform on our intake form, you are redirected to Google's own authorization screen where you review the permissions requested and choose to grant access. We never ask for or receive your Google account password.
Upon authorization, Google issues a refresh token which is stored securely and used solely to retrieve your account data for the purposes described in this policy.
4b. Permissions Requested
We request the minimum permissions necessary to perform the audit:
• Google Analytics 4: read-only access to your GA4 property data
• Google Ads: read-only access to your Google Ads account data
4c. Revoking Access
You may revoke our access at any time by visiting myaccount.google.com, navigating to Security → Third-party apps with account access, and removing Perform Marketing Partners. Revocation stops future data access but does not delete data already collected. To request deletion, see Section 8.
4d. Google API Services User Data Policy
Our use of Google API data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements:
• Google API data is used only to generate and deliver your audit and 30-day performance reporting
• We do not use Google API data for advertising targeting or retargeting
• We do not permit human access to your Google account data except as necessary to provide the service, with your permission, or as required by law
• We do not sell, rent, or share Google API data with any third party
5. Data Retention
We retain different types of information for different periods depending on why it was collected and how it was used.
For audit tool users, we distinguish between two categories:
• Raw account data: information retrieved directly from your Google Ads and GA4 accounts. This is used to generate your audit and is deleted within 30 days of audit delivery.
• Audit report: the summarized analysis and recommendations we produce from your account data. This is our work product and is retained for 12 months as a record of the engagement. It contains derived insights, not your raw account data.
6. Email Communications
6a. Transactional Emails
We send transactional emails in connection with services you have requested. For audit tool users these include your audit report, status updates, and 30-day performance summaries. These are not marketing emails and are sent regardless of marketing preferences.
6b. Marketing Emails
We send marketing communications only to people who have opted in, either by checking the consent box on our audit intake form or by otherwise indicating they would like to hear from us. Marketing emails may include information about our services, paid search insights, and promotional offers.
You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by emailing info@performmarketingpartners.com with "Unsubscribe" in the subject line. We process requests within 10 business days.
6c. CAN-SPAM Compliance
All marketing emails comply with the CAN-SPAM Act. Each will identify itself as a commercial message, include our physical mailing address, and provide a working opt-out mechanism.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information or advertising account data. We share data only with service providers that help us operate the business and deliver our services, including:
• Cloud infrastructure and hosting providers
• AI service providers used for audit analysis: data is processed for report generation and not retained by these providers for their own purposes
• Email delivery service providers
• Analytics and reporting tools
All service providers are contractually required to handle data securely and may not use it for any purpose other than providing services to us. We may also disclose information when required by law or valid legal process.
8. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal information:
• Access: request a copy of the information we hold about you
• Correction: request correction of inaccurate information
• Deletion: request deletion of your personal data and any stored account data
• Opt-out: withdraw consent for marketing emails at any time
• Revoke Google access: remove our OAuth authorization through your Google Account settings
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [EMAIL]. We will respond within 30 days.
